She covered various topics at the Associated Press, including racial justice movements in Appalachia and the impact of the Trump Administration's immigration policies on the Kentucky Derby. Her time in the Bluegrass State honed her ability to handle diverse stories with nuance whether they were about abortion, redistricting or the attempted assassination of a local mayoral candidate.

She received a B.A. in Journalism and History from the University of Southern California in 2019 and a M.S.J. from Northwestern University in 2020.
